Default b16 in crx si

my friend has 89 si w/ b16a motor its all stock starts and runs fine with no cel. The only problem is that its running sluggish. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem?? i'm thinking oilpump might be bad or distributor. any help is apreciated

what gauges are installed on it? what are they reading?

how does the exhaust smell/look?

bad gas?

their is a lot that could make it "sluggish"
any more details?

Give the ***** phucka a tune-up. B16's tend to run "sluggish" like all motors w/o a tune-up.

My favorite selection:

Chevron w/ techron fuel injector cleaner.
NGK ..F5-11 plugs, and wires.
Genuine honda dis. cap & rotor.
Valve adjustment.
B12 Carbon bluid-up cleaner.
Etc, etc...

have you checked the cam sprocket timing? maybe the timing belt/cam sprockets slipped a tooth. Make sure everything is at TDC.
