Wiring in MSD blaster 3 coil and MSD 6A.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do to install my msd external coil? I have a 87 crx with the D16/ZC swap, Im just now wiring the D16 and my car is already wired for an external coil (first gens came like that) should I just dis connect the two wires on the internal coil? Im also installing a MSD 6A ignition, Where do I have to connect the dist. wire coming from the Msd 6A box? its white I believe.
thanks in advance, smash

Is it that hard to figure out?

Look at the diagram, instead of hooking up black and orange to your internal coil, hook them to your external coil. Also remove your internal coil from the dizzy.

It should be fairly straight forward as purpleterror pointed out.
Get ready to say goodbye to your ignitor though...often a juiced up coil will cause the OEM ignitor to take a dirt nap. You can always build the trigger adapter circuit though and run without an ignitor. Here's how I ran my MSD stuff:
