fan switching not working? helppp.
Well after so many months of my radiator fan not working i decided to check it out to see what the problem it was. At first i thought the fan may have just died on me. The radiator fan nor the ac fan ever turned on when i turned on the ac switch.
I figured it was just broken fans.
So today i tried the paperclip trick where i removed the harness that plugs into fan switch. I closed connection with the paperclip trick and to my surprise the fan turned on when i turned my key to on.
So now my question is could it be the fan switch went bad on me? my car doesn't have any overheating problems whatsoever so i i don't really understand it myself. Maybe my car doesn't heat enough for fans to turn on possibly? I have two thoughts in mind.. maybe my car doesn't get hot enough for fans to turn on.. or my fan went bad but i still dont' overheat. What is everyones thoughts on this? I'm really not worrying about this right now but my plans to go into forced induction in the following weeks has me worrying about overheating issues.
I know my other alternative is to run to inside my car so i can turn it on and off manually but i just don't wanna wait in the car.. haha.
