Default diy turbo oil reducer, will this work?

ive been thinking of buying a 1/8 fiting with a adjustable valve to adjust my oil presure instead of buying a 15-20 part that i think will do te same job as the cheap home depot 2.00 part, has anybody ever tried this, it looks like it will work

if it fits inline with the oil feed line, then yes, it should work. But you won't know how much oil pressure the turbo is getting unless the gauge is tapped after the restrictor.

ya im thinkig of buying the restrictor and with the money i saved buy a cheap oil presure gauge and install it inline. also im using a straight T3 turbo on a d15 vtec stock, whats the pressure i should run to it? my friend is selling me his stock t28 (i think) of his Mitsubishi eclipse for 100.00, im new to the whole fi so wich turbo would be better?

I would say the most important thing is using the gauge to actually know the pressure going to the turbo. Some of the HD restrictors will actually restrict the oil flow just by hooking them up due to the port size in/out of the restrictor sometimes reducing as it enters the "valve" part of it.
Also, take into consideration of where you put the restrictor within your setup and the amount of heat the restrictor can take. (depending on the type of material)

i just used a 1/8"npt fitting and brazed it shut then drilled a .055" hole in it.. i also have a pressure gauge right on the turbo to see the actual oil pressure at the inlet of the turbo.. 5psi on idle and 30 at redline. little over 10,000 miles and no problems..

the main thing like someone else said is use a gauge after the restrictor to make sure its getting enough oil..
