what do u guys think will be better 4-2-1 headers or 4-1. i have a b16. after i get that i wanna go with 2.5 inch piping for the exhuast also. thanks guys later

 

4-1 in my opinion, that is what I have righ now DC 4-1 header, I just need a 2 9/16 dougnut and a 94 Del Sol or 00 civic Si exhaust manifold gasket for me to install it. Hasport makes a 4-1 header I belive with 2 pongs for the two 02 censors, but the DC has 1 pong.

Go 4-1... i've never liked 4-2-1 on a b16... or any other motor really...

 

yeah the 4-1 seems to be better performing, do careful research for clearance issues, I had a 98 Spec R header and I had to cut the crossmember to much, and it hung really low, stay away from the 94+ GSr headers, IMO

 

I would do 4-1

 

the basic rule of tumb i've always heard and beleaved in was a 4-2-1 was a low-end header build for better torque where a 4-1 is a mid-top end header build for better breathing in high rpms

 

it really depends on what u want...mid range power, top end, low end...
