help changing axle.
i just read the faq above, and its awesome.
BUT,
i got to the piont, where i have to remove the axle out. Tom's direction say to tap it lightly.
well its not budging. any ideas?

Yeah, and when you push it in, try not to grab the joint itself, but from the base. you run the risk of having the bearings come apart inside the boot.
when I installed mine, the trans side just wouldn't go in. I think a lot has to do with the wire snap ring on the axle end, because a few days earlier I had installed an identical axle from the parts store and it just clicked smoothly into place.
I ended up tapping the trans side of the axle base using a piece of wood and hammer. seems the shock made it go right in. tap as only as hard as you need to make it go in as you are pounding on the rubber boot over the base when doing this.
