Default SCC Suspension tech articles

In the Aug '05 issue of Sport Compact Car, there is part 3 of their suspension tech artlces. Sometimes you have to take what you read out of car magazines with a grain of salt. SCC is only one of the few car rags that I read because they do not have ads for 26" chrome wheels... yet. I digress.

In this installment, there is a lot of focus on suspension geometry. I would think that the way they put it is like introductory suspension engineering. Discussing roll couple, roll center and center of gravity is good stuff.

Has anyone looked at this, any thoughts?

Yeah... 05'.... what was I smoking?

If I only read it a few days prior, I would have taken the measurements of my suspension and crunched those numbers. While I had everything apart...

ive read a couple books on suspension and what scc says is pretty much copy and paste and make it easier for ur regular joe to somewhat understand it. i have learned alot more from the books than what scc has put reason for being that to understand suspension u have to read everything about it first then go back and reread sections to start applying it to cars.

Yeah, that sounds like the best idea. What they wrote isn't bad for the average tinkerer without having to absorb one of those engineer-level books.
