I need your judgement.
Is this a bad turbo kit for my 97 civic. Can you trust these? Anyone know of anyone whos boughten a ebay turbo kit? It seems pretty legit. If you guys agree, I will seriously spend the time to work and buy this turbo kit and get it professionaly installed.

umm, wrong forum...
yeah man wrong forum, but to answer your question i wouldnt buy it because ive seen turbo kits sell for like 9.00 dollars thats right NINE DOLLARS so i dont know i wouldnt trust ebay when selling turbo kits, especially something as cautious as turbo, but its up to you, just try homemadeturbo.com they might have some people who have bought ebay turbo kits, but im not sure.hope that has helped
i think he subconsciously came to this forum because he knew we were smarter.
jk.
anyway, look up ss autochrome (or however it's spelled) in search, and they're one of those ebay sellers. i know that this certain celler is not the same, but i think it represents the quality.
plus, it has the parts, but it has NO engine management.
engine management is the MOST important part of a turbo, in my opinion.

Ohh come on... its gotta be good, why else would they have laid that sheet out over the rocks and dirt before setting the turbo parts down.

I would spend no more than 300 dollars on that turbo kit.
My friend did buy an ebay turbo kit with a freshly rebuilt thunderbird turbo, with custom piping for sohc...wasn't bad actually, but he spent 800.

I'd buy it. The worst thing that would happen is the turbos compressor housing will break in half. You have to brace the turbo to prevent the manifold from cracking. ALL manifolds will crack if they arent braced.
turbo has a lifetime warranty . I've had a few friends running these manifolds and the t3/t4 turbo.... not sure aboutr the t25 but it says lifetime warranty with no problems if you have access to a welder brace the manifold. seals are usually the first to go.
you dont really need a welder to brace the turbo, although it does come in handy. The turbo is what causes teh manifolds to crack.
Just go to a muffler shop with a peice of steel from homedepot (they sell different thicknesses of flat steel about 4 ft long for around $5) and ask them to make you a "Y" and bolt one end to teh block and put the other end under the centercartridge of the turbo to keep some of the weight off the manifold.
