Traded my B16 Si for a 91 EX
Well, its a long story
i used to have a 91 Lx. (see my avatar) i loved that car, it was my first car and i drove it for 2 years. bought it completely stock and i put my own touch on it.
i recently crashed it (in feb) and decided that it was time for a change so i stripped it and sent it to the crusher. i sold some parts and didnt make much money
now i was driving my 74 bmw. it did the daily driver job but there was somethin missing. so i started lookin for another honda. my brother had a Si hatch that i loved to drive so i was lookin for a crx or a civic si. finally found a b16 si for 1700 on craigslist.org.
Now this 90 si was fast but it definately had problems. all kinds of clunks and clangs. the clutch was beat to **** and squeaked. also salvage title.
fast forward to a couple weeks ago. i got it smogged (cost me 300 u figure out how) and the thought of sellin it crossed my mind. i posted it for 2500. a couple people were interested but no one came through till a man with a 91 civic EX contacted me
everything he told me about the car made me like it more. Well today i went to look at it and possibly trade my hatch for it. the car was like my old 4 door reincarnated. it had 229k miles but didnt show it at all. interior was in near mint condition, and the only thing not perfect on the car was the oxidation on the roof.
well i traded my b16 hatch for this EX and i dont regret it at all. it was dark when i got home so i didnt have a chance to take pictures but ill get some for reference
The EX has brand new koni shocks with H&R springs. not too low and the dent is fixed and i didnt get the rims.
my new EX(clean title)

The Hatch i traded (salvage title)

My old 4 door (RIP)
ill have more pictures up tomorow. the ex one is just the one he sent me

that's a good trade! but if i was u. i would have just kept the hatch.
but since there's alot of clunk clunk on the b16.. that was a wise decision to make
for a sedan lover
