Need Help From a pro
can i get someone tell me what you think this might be:
i have a 1993 honda prelude si 4ws with 176,000 miles. i'm running 20/50 long life oil. the 4ws light comes on sometimes. the car shuts off on me while i'm driving. i had it towed a month ago for the same problem and when it got to the shop. its started right up. 2 days ago i was driving home from school and it shut off again. i was waiting 4 hours for a tow truck and it finally started. can anyone help.

older hondas i.e. the early to mid 90s accord and prelude can develop a main relay problem which is under the dash close to the fuse box when it gets hot enough there can be a short develop where the car will not start and then when it cools off or the ambient temp drops you are then able to start the car. I have seen numerous write ups on how to correct it on various honda websites do a search and you should find what you are looking for.. sounds like the main relay or a short....
Also have a look at a possible faulty ignition switch, if it breaks the circuit whilst driving that can cause your 4ws light and consequent cut out. Try a light squirt of wd 40 into the switch while the key is in that can help.
