Kuhmo Ecsta ASX receive my vote. Pretty good tire for the money.

I had the sumitomo, loved them, like glue, very good in the rain too (cruise 80 no worries). they lasted me almost 2 years, and I go through tires like crazy. I will definitly get them again when the toyos I got w/ my wheels are worn out (these suck!)

Sumitomo

one of the very few that say that.

did u want all seaon tires? summer tires?

falken ziex are a great ALL SEASON TIRE. they work well in all weather situations, but dont expect them to grip like azenis, s03's, kd's, etc.

I've had all of the tires listed except for the Sumitomo, and I can say my favorite so far have been the BFG G-Force Sports that I have on there now. At $73 bucks a pop they arn't priced bad at all, and they have worn great so far, even with my drop and aggressive camber set up in the front. Next in line though were the Neo gens.

$73 dollars a pop for 15's or what haha cuz they're 118 for my 225/40/18s

so ya, just lookin for bang for the buck on dry traction and tread wear.

Whops, I forgot about the size you were looking for, mine are 215/45/16s . Yet another advantage to smaller wheels

Yea, I forgot which forum I was on for a second...In japan, I ran Nitto 555R's on the rears in my 7 for drags because I could get them fairly cheap compared to other tires available in Japan that had "tread" on them. I mean, they are "D.O.T legal" street tires. ok grip when normal, really good grip when heated up.

yeah i hear you. gotta plant my money tree too

well, it's tough to find a good tire in that size under 120 bucks, but i think the sumitomo htr z2's would probably be the best out of the bunch, and maybe the ecsta ASX.

i actually really like kumho as a brand, just aren't familiar with the ecsta ASX.

i don't know about the neogens, but the 450 were such a shitty tire that i vowed never to deal with nittos again.

the only thing i really know about the neogen is that they make a 225/40/17, which has been tempting at one point, just b/c it's the only 17" 225 that really fits on a lude.

I've had a GREAT experience wiht my Bridgestone S03's on the track. I NEVER felt like the car was unstable.

I am going to try either Kumho MX's or Toyo T1S next.
