Hey, I just got a new 05 Black Civic Coupe LX SE for college and I wanted to know if there is anything I need to know about or any helpful insight to keep my car in the best shape. This is my first OFFICIAL car, I've driven my parents car for a while. Is there anything about the Civic that could potentially go wrong or anything I could do to increase it's longevity as well as keep it in the best shape? Also what are the regular tune-ups and services that I have to do with this car? Thanks for any helpful suggestions and/or comments.

do you plan on modding it?

paint care, recommended weekly washes, monthly waxes. if the car sees winter especially.

np. also, go through your owner's manual. it'll mention maintenance intervals at 10k, 20k, etc. it basically says what honda will do (what you need to do) at those invtervals besides the regular oil change.

 

Dont drive it through any of those automatic car washes,especially since it is black. You will get scratches and swirls galore.

for a stock car Paint maintenence would be the highest thing on my list. keep it clean and waxed invest in some good stuff like mcguires

 

Yea I wanted to know whats the best cleaning stuff to use on the car ie. waxes.

 

watch out for stock springs breakin, mostly at the bottom. if it breaks at the bottom u might not notice the drop in hight but iv seen it happen manny times.
