Default Needed : BLOCK OFF plate for the Evaporator hole on the passenger side...

I took out my A/C from my crx.. Now there's a big hole on the passenger side where the evaporator lines where on the firewall.. Is there a part that I can buy to cover it ? If so, can you post the part # ? (I'm located in Canada)
here's a pic...

thanks in advance

The one in the middle, the big black box. You either have to replace it with a duct from a non ac car or gut the stock one and use that.

it's not #12..that is just a grommet.. there is a metal peice that goes there..the grommet just covers the metal peice.. I tried using the grommet, but it keeps falling out.

I work in the parts department at Honda, and I don't recall seeing what you're referring to. I keep trying to find it in the parts catalog, so far I am unsuccessful. I am not at all saying you are wrong, but from my knowledge, that grommet should be all that is needed to block that hole.

Can you just cut a piece of steel to fit in the grommet?

Your are wrong. #12 is the correct piece I just bought one two months ago and its the correct part number.

Make a deal with your trade you the plug for your ac lines.

The metal part is from the evaporator inside the cabin.

Exactly, this isnt that hard to do. After removal, the new grommet (from a non a/c equipped EF) will fit perfect.

Just get one from a non ac'd car. The evap is right next to the blower motor in the duct for the heater.

I need that same piece. I have a hole right next to the fuel filter and can see directly into my passenger side wheel well. If I can't find something for under $5...i'm followin GreenMachine's advice.

Bought my car with the AC already removed. It has some big bolts shoved in there. So what? You can't really see it.
