Who here has replaced slave cylinder?
Its not hard at all. Just take those to 12mm bolts out, then on top, you'll have to undo the 10mm screw ontop that connects the line to the slave cyclinder....It only took me about 20 min. to do everything
You don't really need to jack your car up. You can reach it through the top. Just stick your hand down there and use a socket wrench or whatever you wanna call it

ya, napa carries it, and im not sure if kragen or auto zone carry it. it was kinda hard to find. but i kno napa has it, cuz thats where i got it from. some other hardware stores may have the same thing, but just with a different name. i reccomend getting the real stuff. itll clean anything that is rusted or greased up.

Also, spend the money to get a proper brake/clutch line wrench. It looks like a closed end wrench but has a slot just big enough to go over the line. You're sure to ruin the fitting otherwise... then you'll be hating life.
ok long story short - the nut connecting the clutch line to the slave cylinder is stipped. im considering getting professional help at this point or taking the clutch line out and getting a new clutch line.

You can buy that hose at a autoparts store. It goes from the slave to a rubber hose (over the trans) I think it was like $30 er something.

its not a hose though, its like a metal hose, I was just gonna get it at the local honda dealership. But how the hell do i get the hose out so I can replace it b/c the bolts are on there incredibly tightly and the one is stripped.

I know its a metal hose. Youre taking the slave off anyways right? Just unbolt the hose from where the other end connects to, then take the slave off with the hose attached.

thats what im trying to do but the other end of the hose wont come off either. i put all my muscle into it and it just slips and starts stripping it. im using a 10mm wrench (9 is too small)

Arrrrn. Go to Sears (or similar store) and buy a set of those special wrenches. Use them then return them.

to get the nut loose from the slave cylinder use some vise grip pliers. It's the ones with the spring in them that locks. That's how i take it off. If you want to buy the correct wrench, they are like 15 bucks from craftsman. I think its worth it, even though i've never invested the money in it. It's called flare nut wrench. They might not know the name of it at OSH or craftsman.

Aaaaaa! You didn't take my advice above about using the right wrench, now you get to spend more money to have someone fix it.
