Well first is it blowing hot air or luke warm air? Well if its blowing hot air you have a leak somewhere...if its not hot but a mid temp than its prly just your system needs a recharge....I work at Sears Auto take it there and they will test it for free and tell you if the air blowing out is to hot...make sure you tell them to tell you before they recharge it so you can find somewhere cheaper to recharge it. Any questions PM me.

You probably just need R12(freon that doesn't kill). My AC was acting the same way and I just needed a recharge. It's a good thing to do every 30,000 or depending on how often you use the AC.

If you don't have a leak and the a/c system has not been opened up, you can just recharge your system w/ r134 from walmart/ pep boys, etc. Get a kit (about $30-40) that includes a gauge and refill the refrigerant from the low side of the a/c system. read the instructions.

very simple to do or go to this link to get more info on how to. use the Screw-in Can Tap Dispensing method in the link

http://www.id-usa.com/how_to_recharging.asp

good luck... being w/o a/c sucks!

Wrong....

In 1928, Thomas Midgley, Jr. aided by Charles Franklin Kettering invented a "miracle compound" called Freon. Freon represents several different chlorofluorocarbons, or CFCs, which are used in commerce and industry. The CFCs are a group of aliphatic organic compounds containing the elements carbon and fluorine, and, in many cases, other halogens (especially chlorine) and hydrogen. Freons are colorless, odorless, nonflammable, noncorrosive gases or liquids.
