well i will start off by saying that i jsut felt like pulling the car and i redlined second and when i went to shift into third it went in but popped back out with my foot still on the accelarator. my rpm's flew all the way to 9500rpm and next thing you know CLUNK!!! my motor died . the oil light came on and when i pulled over and tried to start the car again it would try to turn over but it jsut wont start.
i checked my oil took off the oil cap and all this smoke was coming out of it. im pretty sure i floated a valve or dropped it somewhere or valves.
HOW BAD COULD IT BE?? guys? by looking at the rpm the revlimit was set at 9500 so i know it didnt go past that. and around how much do you guys think it will cost to fix???? this sucks real bad this is my only car. i'm going to take the head of tommorow and see how bad it really is. but any predictions??

ALSO if anybody can tell me a good way to take of the head without damaging anything else let me know. i have a friend coming to help me tommorow. any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED GUYS thanks you

AND know that my car is not a type r it is a gs-r but the integra forum really isnt helpingout that much and i searched and found most misshifts in the ITR forum. but you see in all of them the person got the car started again. My car wil try to turn over but i wont start. i'm really hoping to get some predictions as to what could have happened. hope im not much of a problem.

 

u might bent a valve or valves... expect around 1k-2k fixing.

y must not have a revlimiter because im not quite sure how the car will go all the way to 9500 when rev limiter is there...i may be wrong...i would say, the valves are bent badly that i will not start...

 

i did that before but i redlined 3rd and when to 2nd and nothing happen to my motor and its boosted i guess its luck....my friend did the same thing in his gsr and bent 2 exhaust valves cost about $450 to fix, did it himself
