Surface Scratches in my Tail Lights
Hey guys. My tail lights sustained a few lite scratches in them from a fence i slid out in to. They are not deep at all, they are just in the surface. Anyway I wanted to know if anyone here knows what kind of buffing compound or wax that can be used to either reduce these marks or remove them completely. Thanks
Check this DIY article from http://www.team-integra.net which talks about refinishing plastic pieces such as the tail lights. FYI: I think you have to sign up to the site to view but it's free and the article is worth it.

One day at my old work i dropped a BMW Z4 tailight on the concrete. Well after about 5 minutes of freaking out cause that tailight cost about as much as a weeks pay, i took it to our detailer who had me wet sand it with 2000 grit sandpaper and then use some 3M rubbing compound (first heavy, then light) and that took it all away with ease. No scratches, no problem

Do to the simple fact that the plastic (layers would you call it?) of the tail light is relatively thick when compaired to say, sanding the paint of a car, this enables you to sand down much much deeper into the material to remove any unwanted blemishes. Hell after sanding it, wet sand then buff for a sparkly finish!
