Default AEM EMS OBDII Question...

Well I'm looking into an AEM EMS and was wondering, does the OBDII work like OEM, like if you took it to emissions can they just jack into the OBDII port and get the emissions reading from it? If so is it programmable and able to give skewed [ ] readings? I know there are OBDII sensors that will skew them but I'm going to be turboing my car and just want to know all them options I'll have available when emissions rolls around.

I have the AEM EMS and it is not OBD2 compliant. You'll be almost screwed. I am trying to pass emissions here in GA and I have to install my greddy blue box with the stock ECU just to get it to communicate. Oh it is a bitch. Just a heads up. Go to a state where you don't have to do this. I'm trying to get around this for next year.

You might beable to hookup your stock ecu and rig it so it can communicate with the obd2 emissions computers but not actually control the engine. It might take alot of wiring though.

You're better off swapping back to just the stock ecu so you can smog.
