GO TO AUTOZONE IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT....they do it for free.

Then, like deserthonda posted, post the code in here or look it up in the guide.

It's the data link connector, where they plug in the scan tool. Jump pins 4 and 9. If your not sure which ones those are, it should be the brown and black wires.

well i figuered out what he was talking bout DLC and i had a feeling that was the obd 2 connection so i jumped the 2 and i might have check wrong i got a 4 cylinder engine and i came up with a code of 76 but it might be 65 b/c there is no code 66 in the code list i was checking out, and plus the weired thing that happened is that the engine light didnt come back on since i jumped it and i had my battery cable unplung when i was redoing my sound system, so i guess the computer is reset when i drive it tomrrow i think i will check it back out see if i get any check engine light, thanks alot for your help guys, and if i got the wrong code its b/c of when it changes over to blinking fast thats the part that gets me, anyways i will do it again if i get a check engine light hopefully it stays off and nothing is wrong, thanks again
