Default swap is done.. WONT START!

finally done with the swap.. we checked pretty much everything. but the damn thing still wont start.. It turns over fine, but it just doesnt fire up. Heres some things im considering.. Checking for spark in the wires.. no spark on start up.
Fuel is a little low, but i think there should be enough to at least start the motor.. ANY suggestions?? help me.. thanks..

Does the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key forward? If not check your ground on the thermostat housing.

Fuel seems to be OK.. I took my fuel pressure regulator out and fuel was spraying out.. so im sure fuel is getting to the fuel rail.... ill be sure to make all my grounds are intact.. but i was thinking its something to do with the fact that there is no spark from the plug wires. I tested it.. tried to start the car.. NO SPARK.. im pretty sure im testing it right, a spark should jump from the wire to a ground right?? any other suggestions, i need my so i can go out on a date!! thanks in advance.

Get another distributor. Did you do a compression test? You sound like you are doing your spark test right.

i havent done a compression test yet.. but i figure since the cam is turning.. it should at least spark.. im leaning more toward a distributor problem.. but i tried using another distributor.. still nothing.. could be wiring problem?

check your map sensor hook up. I have the same set up and had the same kind of prob. turns out we wired the map 2 the wrong wire in the harness. just a suggestion. also ignition see if +/- are hooked up right. that if U have a coil or MSD..good luck

jesus god u guys jis car turns over ok that means everything is good but aint getting a message to make spark some how.
has to be a break in the line from the ecu. trace teh lines make sure they are where they should be. one real question was the z6 running a obd0 or obd1 ecu and dist?
