Default 91 Civic DX with JDM ZC Tranmission. What axles?

Ok, I am trying to a JDM ZC tranny on my 91 Civic Hatchback DX. Now I hear i have to run 90 - 91 Integra axles. But I know that they will not fit into my brake. So what do i have to change in order to put those axles into my spindle? I do not want to put on Integra suspension or anything like that. I am trying to keep weight down as much as possible, so i just want to change the center. What do i need to buy?

I am fairly certain the 1990-93 integra axles will fit into the dx hubs. The dx should have 26 splines in the hubs.

Be sure you remove the dust seals from the hubs and the polyurethane dust seal from the axles or you will have binding issues once the axle nuts are properly torqued.

DX/Si hubs are the same and will accept 90-93 integra axles. You only need to change hubs if you have a STD hatch or a crx hf.

Just a thought...does the dx block have the threaded holes to mount the intermediate shaft??

Ok, then like I said you need to change the hubs and brake assembly to dx/si hubs and brakes to use the integra axles and zc intermediate shaft. Still I am not sure if the block has the holes for the int. shaft.

O man that makes sense. I will have to go look and see if the block has the holes for the intermediate shaft. Also do i have to change the whole brake assembly?

get some dx/si hubs, with the brakes too since that will be an upgrade also,

get 90-91 crx si axles

no halfshaft cuz your block doesnt have the holes

to use the drivers side integra axles you need a halfshaft. without the halfshaft then you have to use crx si or hatch si axles

if you do all that you should be good to go

i dont think the mounts are differnt for the 4spd to 5spd

Can I just get the HUB. Do i have to get the whole brake. And when you say brakes does that mean rotors and everything. Because about two weeks ago, i bought some Brembo brake rotors, and do not want to have to change those.

well you COULD get the HUBS pressed out and the bigger ones pressed in, but it's more easier to swap over AT LEAST the whole knuckle/hub. You can keep your shiny rotors and install them on the bigger knucks/Hubs and used your existing calipers if they're still good

you can get just the hubs and yea you could just put the brembos on. do you have stock calipers?

Yea just get the whole thing rotors and all. might as well save yourself some work and just get the whole thing then swap the rotors and use the si calipers
