Installing transmission-How?
'92 civic dx 1.5, manual transmission
I put in a new clutch. Everything went nice and smooth. Now I've spent two days trying to get the transmission mounted back on the motor. No matter what I do I can't get the input shaft lined up in the clutch disk hole. 12 hours of wrestling with it and nothing...
What's the trick?
I have a floor jack, the car is on jackstands.
Thanks

Did you also make sure it was the correct clutch disc for the tranny? Check to see if the splines fit over the main shaft from the tranny
As long as I dont have to take out any more Metal Gears

Ya always compare old and new parts before u install. Look at the FAQ/DIY sticky on the top of the forum too. I think there is a clutch how-to in there

I used an alignment tool to make sure the clutch plate was in right. I'll check to see that the splines will line up. Thanks for the help...
