Default ITR tranny problem help!

Making a click click noise coming from the tranny. Thought it was the clutch and overnited a new clutch. Still doing it. Best description of the sound is like the sound the wheel makes on WHEEL OF FORTUNE. It drives but Im thinking its not safe. Please any other ideas cause a new tranny is pricey!

When does it happen? Clutch in, neutral, clutch out, etc?

No its not CV joint. It happens all the time, clutch in/out.....except when not rolling. I lifted the car and put it in first gear and the noise is clearly coming from the bell housing.... not the axles.

stock clutch??? If so, then probably broken part of the sprung hub assembly of the factory disc.... very common problem that I have seen. Customer complaints, hard to get into gear, a tick-tick-tick sound, hard pedal, or total destruction.

If not, then most likely the clutch packs, if it's a factory LSD, are worn out and probably need some tlc.

The stock ITR LSD is viscous.

IT DOESN'T HAVE CLUTCH PACKS!

he must have the JASMA LSD in there reid.

you said the noise happens all the time, except not rolling...how about rolling not in gear, with clutch in?

if you hear the noise under this situation...i really doubt its something in the transmission...

The Stock ITR LSD is a Torsen (gears), not a viscous (fluid)

Theres a happy ending to this story......It was the tranny....knowing some hookups at acura we got it written up as a warranty problem and ordered a new tranny. Nothing came out our pockets....thanks Acura! Thanx for all those who tried to help.

how does that happen? I have worked for dealer too in the past how'd you get approval on this trans???? What VIN did you use and/or Trans code???
I am glad you got it fixed, but for all of us that have to work to get our stuff fixed w/ used parts, this kinda hits below-the-belt.
