I was wondering how TSB's come to be. Is it Honda who posts the TSB, or some outside groups who collects "complaints"?

The reason I was wondering is I was looking at my policy on Progressive, which also lets you check out recalls and TSB's, and I saw a few interesting ones. Some included such items as "Subject regarding customer complaints that the engine hesitates breifly when accelerating" and "Subject regarding: Black Smoke on hard acceleration", but then there were ones that really confused me. Those two where:

"OCT 2002: A/C Compressor control logic -- Honda October Tech Line Information. 2002 Prelude also included."

and

"OCT 2002: Grunt noise when accelerating after sitting -- Honda October Tech Line Information. 2002 Prelude also included."

I thought the preludes ended in 2001, or were there a few 2002's to roll out? Is this info pertaining to the Canada, where the prelude was produced a little longer or something? What am I missing here?

 

honda does them. for more info on them honda is the best source. id swing by the dealer with those tsb numbers and ask about what honda has to say on them.

My question is about the 2002 prelude.... AFAIK atleast in the US it stopped in 2001 model year right?
