'87 CRX Si is it worth it?
You will not get a lot of positive remarks on 1st gen crx's on this site, atleast not until you actually build one, then everyone likes them.
I think if its in very good condition, he should totally do it. There are hardly any of them left on streets. They are really fun cars, everyone whos ridden in my car falls in love with it. They are a lot more work than the 2g's, everything is moer expensive and the engine bay is cramped. But your reward is having something that a lot of people dont, and a little piece of history
See my sig for pics of my car.

**** yeah Ryan, Thats my old car, Ryan has taken great care of it and there isnt a day that goes by that I don't wish I had kept that car, as far as fun to drive, that car was by far the greatest. I would pounce a 1g if i could find one in good shape, I own a 91 CRX Si right now, as far as comfort, this car is better, but oh my god was the 1g more fun. Good luck man, if you have any more questions send ryan or me a PM, hes a good guy and i'd love to help you out

But for a 1gen. Only thing I don't like is the plastic pieces they get pretty brittle after awhile.
Epoxy Resin becomes your friend.
Otherwise definately a fun car. I drive 90 CRX SI for Daily Driver, got my project car parked for now (88 CRX DX), and got my Summer beater getting a new paint job (with rust repairs) and a fresh motor put in it (d16a1) hoping to have it running by July 13th!!!
Fun car to have can't wait to get it on the road. Who can beat Torsion bars in the front, lol and a solid beam in the back.
