How to on lowering spring

Default How to on lowering spring

like the title states im looking for a how to on installing eibach sportline springs on a 95 civic hatch or any this closely related to this can anyone help?

Me and my buddy put his on first off you need to take out all your shocks get a spring compresser so you can compress them down to pull them off and compress the others to put them onto the shocks then slowly let off as they fit onto the shocks dont get the rear mixed up with the front thuogh

You can rent a "Strut Type" spring compressor for free (with deposit) from your local Autozone or Checker/Cragen/etc. It just clamps to either side of the spring and you tighten the two bolts. As the bolts tighten, it squeezes the spring down...

As for a "How-To", here is a link to the proper way to lower your car. It involves a little more than just installing springs (also don't forget an alignment too)...

i rented my spring compressors from checkers.....now that i think about it, i still have them bitches. should return them i guess....

thanks alot this will really help me out, also what are the best shocks to get if i decide to replace them need something that is cheap but yet just as good or better then my stock cx shocks thanks

Indeed, that's the way to install the springs, you just won't have the sleeve or perch, just the straight spring on the strut perch.
