Going to a track on a track day by a sanctioned club. From your post, it sounds like you just want to be canyon running or whatever the hell you kids call it these days; so just go with the off the shelf rates.
To have real 'road racing' rates, your car will be barely streetable, and very aggressive and can get you into real trouble, real quick, on the streets.

just curious, what spring rates are considered "road racing" rates? 400 and up? I'm trying to pick my spring rates and am having the hardest time.

i recommend:
a) stop driving aggressively on the streets. you're not proving anything to anyone.
i define:
b) road racing as racing on track. and on track only. racing on streets is called "being an dumb *******" and has nothing to do with road racing. Road racing is related to open lapping/track days, but different b/c there is no "race" involved at a track day.
c) spring rates for a double duty CRX should be in the 350f-400r range.

that's hard to say. 350/400 may be ok for some, and terrible for others, since everyone has diff. preferences, but i'd say that it's a reasonable rate for an EK.
i daily drive 450/550 on a prelude and it's not that bad.

I have 400f/300r on my hatchback. If you have an Si, 400f/350-400r should be pretty tolerable. If you have a large rear sway bar, you can keep it around 300 and not have an excess of understeer.

cool, thanks for the info, how's the ride in your hatchback? I was thinking of keeping the rear at a lower rate and running an itr sway with asr brace kit.

same I'm ordering some rates very soon for my hatchback with koni yellows and a large rear sway and also si front suspension. Talked to guys at GC and they mentioned 380f/300r for me but I was also told by someone else that I should never get none 25 lb increments because they'd be progressive instead of linear rates. anyone able to verify this? I was thinking if so I'd just do 375 or 400f/300r and use the adjustable dampening rates on the struts to fine tune it for auto-x and street driving.

All of the Eibach ERS springs (the one's that GC uses) are linear. I'd go with what GC recommends

It can be tasking on those who are top heavy, but I have no complaints with it. The streets around me aren't that bad but could definitely be better. I also have 16" wheels if you consider that in the ride quality.
Like I said, you could do a little higher in the back since your car is a little bit heavier with the sunroof and stuff. It should give you a pretty decent ride.

i had 350/450 and it was too soft for me..even on the streets. i was planning to get a EG and use it for road racing 4-5 times a year and i was planning to get 500/800 as my spring rates and daily drive it too, but i decided to stop wasting money and just get a car i can leave stock..an 05 TL. i also didnt care what my passengers thought of how my car rode. i have the mentality of "if my suspension is too stiff, get the **** out of my car and walk."
so le tme get this right...since no n one really gave a real answer ....i will get a sway bar later...so what springs rates are good for road racing on the track then on a crx not another car...and what is considered for me to get in trouble with stiffer springs???someone told me 400 f --and 500 rear ....is that too much ???

Too much what? Too much for the track? No, it's not enough. Too much for the street? Maybe, maybe not. That's what everyone is saying. Personal preferance has a lot to do with what "too much for the street" is. Some will be fine with those rates and some thing anything slightly stiffer than stock is too stiff.
I'd go with what GC recommended, and if you don't like it, you can always swap out the springs later.

And like we said, get the off the shelf GC rates, and don't drive like an idiot. Take it to an open track day and be humbled by your tyte driving skills.

you're missing the point. the "limit" for the street is however much you can take. I can handle commuting with 550 lb springs. some people hate having 300's. you're just going to have to find out for yourself.
i don't understand your wheel question either. find the right size wheel for the tire you want to run.
also, stop driving on the street like it's a track. it's not. i've never seen school busses and kids playing stickball in the middle of a turn at a track.

hold on. let me get my little cousins to jump on the track next time ur out there. let me know when u go road racing or autoxing
why would u drive soo dangerously on the streets? maybe if u were on an abandonded highway or something..u take a turn too fast..or if there is a patch of oil on the floor..ur car is going to swing in some direction..and u might run into kids, a person on a bicycle, and other things.
go find someone with springrates that are higher than 200. at 350/450 i was bouncing up and down in my seat..my butt was off my seat. so it is really up to you. imo, higher spring rates made driving my car more fun. it was kind of like a rollercoaster. its like going up and down on a rollercoaster..its the "wheeeee" feeling u get, but since i live in socal, it's more like "whee" *teeth chatter* "whee" *more teeth chatter*. if i wasnt going to get a new TL, i would of had gotten an EG with even HIGHER spring rates. oh yeah, spring rates are different on each car. higher spring rates on heavier cars are not as noticeable as having the same rates on a 1800 lb car.
