Been trying to install a V-AFC in my friend's 2001 Prelude. I've done about 5 other installs with no problems, but with his install once we start the car up and try and rev it, fuel cut comes in at about 6500RPM. Another problem that i noticed was that VTo was going to the "ON" position, but VTi was staying in the "off" position. I checked all the connections and they seem to be right, what's going on here?
Did you let the engine warm up?? The rev limit will be artificially low and vtec will not engage until the engine has sufficiently warmed. Another possibility would be lack of oil... I assume everything was functioning properly prior to the install?

I assume that you initialized the VAFC. Double check your wire connection it happen to me on my friends 01 prelude when I install his VAFC. Did you follow the diagram that comes with the VAFC? Double check with the Helms manual. Let us know.

yeah the engine is warm
we checked the wiring diagram, but still nothing
so you've installed a V-AFC on a 2001 prelude and it works?
