EGs/EJs with bumpers cut out for large front mount intercoolers.
I feel this is the appropreate section as i'm only looking for pictures of EGs/EJs.
I'm looking into buying this front mount and cutting my bumper for airflow to it.

I'm wanting to see what cut bumpers look like before i do it and gather ideas of how i can cut it based on how other's have.
Thanks in advance.

damn nice FMIC... Cut a big enought to see the intercooler... too big its or showing the intercooler kinda killing it..+
I know how to do it, i'm talking about cutting up in the bumper to the license plate area. I meant how to cut it as in what path to follow so it doesn't look too stupid.
Out of curiosity, what sort of turbo setup are you running that you feel necessitates such an enormous intercooler?

I agree it probably will look rather goofy, that's why i'm wanting to see pictures of what people have done to fit large intercoolers before i go through with it.
Set-up is a T3 Super 60 at 20psi, currently running 8.
The motor has rods and pistons, so don't give me **** about blowing it.

I asked mainly because I've noticed that many people seem to be under the impression that "bigger is better" when it comes to intercoolers, and they therefore try to stuff the largest one they can find behind their bumper. Obviously, bigger isn't necessarily better, and it's far more important to select an intercooler that is properly sized for one's particular setup.

If you are looking for what lines to floow, i would go with a line that is at the begining of the endtanks, right befor the charge pipes feed in/out.just start tapeing things off that you would like to cut, stand back and look at it to see if you like it, and if you dnt try again.

I'll probably just do that if i do cut it, hopefully i don't have to remove my fog lights.

Ive got the precision 750 IC basically i cut right below the licences plate screws and just proportioned the angle up at the same rate that it was prev going. I like it though personally i wish i had just trimmed the stock bumper from the back and had kept the stock black grill in there. If you want pics just pm me and ill get them to you.
Here is mine - i just cut away the rear of the bumper to fit it. I kept the grill to try to make it more stock like. I also had to remove one of my fog lights to fit the piping; however im in the middle of redoing the piping so i can put my fogs back in.
intercooler is a PTE (garrett core) 30"x3.5"x.7.8"

Here is my old intercooler...spearco 24"x3"x7.8"
