Default 91 Accord EX clutch problem

I just got this 91 Accord EX and had to replace the clutch.
That all went well, but when I was bolting the transaxle back to the engine, I noticed that the spring clip off the throwout bearing release fork was loose. After further inspection, the spring clip came out of the bellhousing.

Question: How, if possible, can I get the clip back on the release fork properly w/o removing the tranny again? Or: Can I run w/o that clip completely by attching the release fork to the slave cylinder as is?

Someone please help this newbie!!!!!!
