Yeah if you have stock lugs, at least make sure they're torque'd down correctly.

thx all but aint no noob
TQ down and balenced
tryed tire pressure from 32-40 PSI.. didt do much..
and there is NO free play in steeringwheel/wheels (checked)
it is like the rear end is slow after i turn/shift lane
and the steering is loose/slubby

FIRST get TUNER LUG NUTS, your STOCK lug nuts will RUIN your 16's.
SECOND with performance tire there is HUGE difference in feeling with normal tires.
try those, if that doesnt work then take it to the shop...good luck!!

Definently get aftermarket lug nuts. OEM has a ball shaped seat, while aftermarket "tuner" lugs have a cone shaped seat. You can also get hubcentric rings that will perfectly center your wheels on the hub (instead of the lugs). They will get rid of any vibration that may accumulate over time from the wheel being centered on the lugs (which can slightly shift when impacted).
Lastly, keep in mind that wider than stock tires will have a much greater tendancy to follow grooves and imperfections in the road (commonly called "tram-lining"). The wider tire gives the rim quite a bit more leverage over your steering wheel than before. This means that it will feel looser on bumps & grooves, and it will require slightly more effort on your part...

last two:
number1 : i HAVE aftermarket lugs.. they CAME with the rims
number2: yes i know .. i can live with it feeling everything..
that not the problem.. is that it is
alll over the road (not from trailing .. but just plain loose in steering and it is like i have 5 " of freeplay.. (but theres not)
and my rear is very late..
like it does not turn rigth away...
maybe more camber would help ?
og toe seetings ?
what is everyone driving with ?
i have 1 degree camber ... and toe is set at 0

How is your steering rack? Jack up the wheel and with your hands, pull and push your wheel from side to side, then up and down. See if there is any play. When you put on bigger wheels, it might've made a problem that was slowly developing more appearant.
