can i use my stock dx tranny with my d16z6 swap?

Default can i use my stock dx tranny with my d16z6 swap?

i have done a search and havent found anything i am wondering if i can use my L3 cable tranny with my d16z6 engine swap i am wondering because i know the sohc vtec is a hydro tranny or can i use an d-seriers tranny?

But you are better off with an Si one. And even better with a ZC one. But that one is a little bit more complicated.

Maybe, depends on how you drive.... if you haul *** everywhere you go, then by all means, get an si tranny. If you want to be able to cuise on the freeway at 80, you can either deal with 5K rpm in 5ht with the si or, use the dx tranny. I have had both, settled with the si, but miss the dx 5th. I might just make a hybrid tranny to get better gas milage on the freeway.

All in all, you will be happy with the si, but if you use the dx, you can still go pretty fast with it.

Hmm I'm at 4000 at 80 I think...4000 or 4500, but not 5000.

.</TD></TR></TABLE>the DX and Si have the same gears 1-5 except the final drive is lower on the DX hence the lower cruins speeds.
