Default premier 860 mp

a local shop is recommending this unit to me. i currently have a old pioneer 6500 connected to a old ppi 50x4 that run my boston pro components no rear fill.

what other headunits would be compareable to this unit i would like to stay around the same price as the 860mp give or take ..

the 860's 6 volt preouts and 24bit dac seem to be its highlights.

another highlight of buying premier as opposed to regular pioneer is that it has a 2 year warranty instead of one. But you can get into some eclipse decks for arround the same price with the same features HOWEVER the faces aren't detachable. I have seen good things out of the 860 so I would say go for it.

the eclipse units are indeed really nice minus the detachable face.

i dont know much about the kenwood excelon, but have heard some good things about them.

i've been doing some homework and i've seen some issues with the 860mp and its preout cutting in and out ??
