I found a brown JDM center console at the salvage yard and want to install it into my blue 89 Civic LX. I'd rather the console match but I have no idea what color paint to use.

Has anyone been able to successfully color match a paint to the blue plastic interior? If so, what color did you use?

 

If it's the same color blue that i have in my civic, it's ugly. I'm gonna end up painting it all black.

Inside the door, on the car frame should be a little factory sticker that says what color interior you have, or atleast i believe it does. It might just be the exterior, but worth a check.

I think the sticker on the inside just gives a interior color code. A one letter code for honda like "K" for dark grey...but I could be wrong.

Is this the same color for the plastic pieces? If so, where do I get the paint to correspond with the color?
