Default 1998 Accord CD player

In my girlfriends 1998 Accord the factory CD player will play burned CD's but will not skip through songs. I was wondering if this is normal or she just got a messed up cd player

It's normal - but you can improve the situation by burning CD's only on high-quality music CD's (Memorex, Sony) and making sure you close the session before you finish the recording.

Old technology not designed for reading CD-R's...

I have the same problem on my 2000 Accord...it is better with the high quality discs and careful recording, but it still acts up once in a while.
