looking to buy a lude
i really like preludes, i have not driven or riden in one. Performance wise i know the prelued is way faster but how do they handle compared to an EF? I currently have an 90 hatch si. And how good are the H23 with boosting and high reving? i know everything about b series but not very familer with the ludes and the h series motor. It's a 92 prelude i belaive it has v-tech.
The 4th gen ludes (92-96) are generally a little bit faster due to lighter weight and a little bit better gearing. Preludes are regarded as one of the best handling front drivers ever sold in America, especially the SH model (sold from 97-01). Also the first year the prelude came with an H22 (Vtec Motor) was 93', so if the 92' that you're looking at has it, then he performed heart surgery on the car.
. Good luck finding a lude, I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

No honda has v-tech. Its vtec. And they did make an h23vtec motor used in the european models, the 92 lude you are talking about most likely has an h22a1, which has "vtec".

sorry, vtec. Thats good to know here is the link to the car http://www.honda-acura.net/for...89047 i think it's a really clean car. And it's a h23, so are the non vtec motors good? and what are the best suspension mods for the prelude?
Vtec preludes only come in 93-96 for 4th gens. If the 92 lude has a h22 the owner must of swapped it in. You should check the vin number before you buy one. The vin should be bb1 if its vtec and bb2 if it's a si. Correct me if I'm wrong.

the h23 is a helluva motor. You wont put down the same #'s HP wise as a h22, but your torque curve can make a h22 owner drool. In my limited experience with my h23 before i blew it, I never had a problem taking on h22's (both 4th and 5th gen) with my h23. Then again, the white kids in the town probably werent the best of drivers either, so its hard to say.
cliff notes: opinion: h23/f22b > h22 , and yes Im white too. =p

Your opinion is flawed. If that were the case, everyone would swap in H23's or buy the non-VTEC models.
The 4th gen ludes are a lot of fun. My GF had a 96 VTEC and it was a blast, and I'm going to look at a 99 Lude on Monday to compliment our RSX & Hatch.
