Default installing a new Rad, got some questions

k well my rad's been leakin out the front for a while, and right when it started i poured that copper ball "stop leak" **** into the rad, even after like 4 months of topping it off every 2nd day and **** there is still alot of that crap in there

espeically in the resoivoir it's like a ******* paste of that ****

anyways, i'm asuming since it's in the rad it's been going through the engine, so do u guys think i should do some sort of engine flush before i install the new Rad?

if so plz recomend products available in canada

I know my shop does coolent flushes but it cost a **** load.

When i instuled my new stock rad, i did a coolent flush after i did the rad. If you want to be really sure, do a coolent flush now, put the new rad in, then do another but i dont think you really need to go that far.

y not flush it yourself? cant u just drain it flush it with a hose or whatever they use and put it back in instead of spending money to get it done?

ahh does anyone have more detailed instructions on flushing a rad yourself? i need to flush the **** within the engine as well, so i would guess drain out all the crap in there now, fill with water, run the engine, drain and repeat?

make a syphon.. disconnect rubber hose to drain out the rad fluid. put a hose in the rad resevoir. turn on car. leave running until water comes out of rad hose. turn off hose. wait til no water runs out of motor. huzzah.

and dont run the degunk stuff through your motor if you're above 150k.. all that carbon coke is probably HELPING to keep your motor together.
