ECU questions. Pease help!
I have recently dropped a h22 in my 94 lude and need to chose a ecu. I was wondering if anyone has used a jdm p13 and if they were happy w/ the results?
and if they had any issues with it, what kind? Can anyone tell me if they used a chipped p13 and like it? and last what is the difference between the jdm p13 ecu and the usdm ecu. Any info would be appreciated.
P.S.
I know I can use a p28, p72 etc...but I was wondering about the p13. Thanks

JDM P13 has a slightly richer fuel map i believe and it doesnt have a speed govenor or than that i dont believe there is much difference. I ran one in my H22 hatch and i didnt have any problems.

the JDM P13 does have the speed governor (~118 mph), the USDM does not. The JDM H has 10.6:1 compression vs the USDM's 10.1:1, so the fuel maps are slightly different, but not much. I've used a JDM P13, and it worked well. My only problems were with EGR, since I never hooked it up in my swap. Other than that, it ran great. My chipped P28 was still faster in the 1/4, but the p13 was very smooth while daily driving.
