Default Will 97-01 side mirrors fit 92-96?

Was thinking about picking up some OBX m3 style side mirrors for only 79 bucks!
Will the gen5's fit the gen4's? Or will I have to do some jerry-riggin to make them fit. I mean I'm sure OBX couldn't screw side mirrors

What's wrong with your stock mirrors?

Does it matter? They're faded and I like M3 mirrors for your information. This is a simple yes or no question that doesn't require your personal opinion of htem or why I want them.

I don't have anything against you getting this, but doesn't the quality look a little sub-par on these mirrors? The indicator lens on the mirror looks like there are some random specs in it, I can't really tell whats going on because the picture is limited. Also, you can easily tell the mirror doesn't fully encompass the housing. I can see the turn indicator lens to the left of the mirror.

I just thought I would mention this incase you wanted something a little bit better quality and didn't notice these potential issues.

Someone could go and check if the part numbers match...

Or if you really wanted M3 mirrors, buy a damn M3.

Even if they did fit up exactly the same, which I would guess that they won't(possibly with modification), the part numbers would not be the same because they are still completely different parts...

i don't have a problem with you getting the mirrors. it's your car so do what you think is right

i suggest you buy the mirrors and earn your wings by dremeling and customizing until they fit like they came with the car. good luck.

no they are not the same. the 4th gen has a sleeker a piller compared to the 5th gen. the 5th gen has a lower fire wall/taller windshield for lower weight distribution. 4th gen has better aerodynamics though because of the taller fire wall/sleeker winshields.

So basically with some jerry-riggin I can make it fit? Unless someone knows other places that sell M3 style mirrors for the gen 4 prelude.
