Tire for ITR?
I would like to say I am a proud new owner of a Type R, #00-0103. I picked it up saturday. I love the car. However, I live in Illinois and I need winter tires, anyone have any suggestions on all season tires (on stock ITR rims)? I prefer something quiet on the road. I was thinking the Falken ZE 512 ZIEX. Anyone have any reviews on those?
You gonna drive the car in the snow?
Get snow tires.
All seasons are a compromise and **** imho.
And Robs right, this topic has been covered at least once before.

Congratulations! Hope to see you at some of our local Chicago-area meets.

As an Illinois resident, I have to agree. You really need to get separate tires. That way, your summer tires will let you enjoy all the performance and handling that the ITR has to offer from April through November, and your winter tires can deal with anything that an Illinois winter throws at you from December through March. If you don't have a second set of wheels, you can get a cheap set of steel wheels from the Tire Rack; get them when you get your winter tires and they'll mount and balance them on the wheels at no extra charge.
