1990 Accord Rev Limiter problem?
I dunno if theres a rev limiter on the 1990. But have you checked your throttle cables. Maybe TPS? I got a rev limiter on my 92 but it aint till 7k rpm on stock motor.

Is the check engine light on? Does it have any trouble codes stored?

Any recommendations on where to get fault codes diagnosed? I'm trying not to spend a lot of money troubleshooting this problem since the car is getting to the point where it is a debate on whether is it worth fixing or not. Thanks for the help.
you can do it yourself, there is a two wire connector under the dash, stick a piece of wire in both ends and it will flash the code(s)on the dash via cel light.... then look on the internet or in your book and find the code and see the problem...
or autozone will do it for free...

The S light flashed so I'm assuming that is a TCM code. It gave code 14. From my research that should be a "short or open in FAS (BRN/WHT) wire between the D16 terminal and ECM" or "Trouble in ECM", anyone confirm this? Thanks.
