Engine Start Button
ok, so ive searched and searched and didnt find anybody addressing my topic so here it is. im doin the engine start button mod. i have the button and relay. i want to replace the remaining key usage with another switch like the toggle switch ignition and start button panels that summit sales so that it would be totally keyless. wat wires would you splice into.
You'd have to find the right wires, which would be the main wire(s) going to the starter. I was thinking about how it was done last week, you'd put the keys into 'on' possition and the button would function like when you turn the key farther to kick the starter. Splice into the wire(s), and you'd get the funtion of both, while still requiring the key to be inserted to start it.
Its two basic circuits. The key turned on click completes the ignition circuit (and fuel), and the key turned a bit more (or pressing the 'start' button) completes the starter circuit.

no one is going to steal it. i just need to know wat wires could be used on a toggle switch for the ign. so i dont have to use the key or buy the panel pre wired.(DIY)

Don't say that, you never know. Having a start button would make it easier though. Honda's are already super easy to jack anyways, why make it harder? Unless you had a kill switch maybe?

Rereading your post, it seems you want to be able to jump in the car, press a button, and drive away.
The problem with that is you'll need to deal with 2 functions. 1) turn on/off ign/ecu/fuel/etc, and 2) turn on the starter. #1 can use a 2-position switch (like a pen clicker), and the second switch will kick the starter. You can't put them on the same switch, unless its a 3-position 2-channel switch (dual pole dual throw). 1st position is off/kill, middle is ign on, last is ign+starter. After its started return it to the middle. As for which wires, rip apart your steering column, you'll find them easily. That, or find a wiring diagram (helms) or an ecu pinout might show it.

yeah this is the one i have. so do i need a switch for
the two wires or can i use one for the ign.?
wat about the rest of the wires, i have other wires (ig1)(bat-a)(st)(acc) are they needed

Simple job, take a starter button from the Honda S2000 and install it in a Honda CRX.
The usual process for this modification involves removing the cigarette lighter or finding a blank area of dash to wire the button into. In my opinion, this would look tacky and actually make the car more awkward to start since you would have to turn the key to 'ignition on', then move your hand to wherever the button is installed.
The only viable solution, as I see it, is to totally do away with the ignition barrel and install the starter button in its location. To whet your appetite, here are a couple of 'after' shots...

Right, if I'm going to remove my ignition barrel I obviously have some electrics to sort out. I toyed with the idea of installing a couple of basic switches to take the functions of 'accessory' and 'ignition' but this would be totally unsecure. Anybody would be able to walk up to the car drive it away! At least, if the alarm and immobiliser were disabled...
Not long ago I installed central locking and wired it to my alarm unit to lock/unlock the car automatically and I knew the alarm had a few spare 'functions' for random duty. So, after some careful planning I decided to wire the ignition directly to the alarm. This means I switch the ignition on and off with a button on my alarm key fob. Since the 'accessory' circuit only powers minor circuits I wired this to a basic illuminated rocker switch which you can see in the image above.
To prevent accidental ignition switching and keep vehicle security at its peak, the remote ignition is configured (via the alarm) to only switch on when the alarm/immobiliser is disarmed. If the circuit becomes powered while the alarm unit is armed the siren will sound and the CRX remains immobilised.
Basically, I now have myself a totally keyless CRX. Walk up to the car, press a button on my key fob and the car beeps. The alarm and immobilisers disable and the doors unlock. Press another key on the fob as I get into the car and the ignition switches on ready for a gentle press of the big red 'ENGINE START' button to fire it up. As I get out of the car, with the engine still purring I close the door behind me and take a few steps before killing the engine via the fob then locking, arming and immobilising the car all in one simple motion.

This is a brief wiring diagram of the S2000 starter button with a typical alarm/immobiliser:

what the **** was the point of your post njn63? anyways. im going to get wires tomorrow and ill be taking pics of the process. im going to have two switches so it's completely keyless start.
actually ive run into some questions. im using two switches so...for the ignition switch id run the ignition to one side of the switch and so what would i run to the other wire? i was thinking a 12v but doesnt the ignition run a 12v inside itself already? im kinda confused.

UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE DOING WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTRICITY
The starter takes alot of juice, if you screw up, you could start a electrical fire in your car.
You should understand it before blindly following instructions so you don't short something.
