Default Project Budget Build! Click to see progress of my Frost White EG (56K OK)

This car started a dream. I was to purchase a EG for cheap, and hopefully put as little money into it as possible, proving everybody wrong who says Hondas are expensive to mod. I firmly believe in the super-size aftermarket (and general market) for Hondas, and I love their engineering. So....I found this 1993 Frost White CX and purchased it on the spot. Here is a running total of everything I have into the car:

Item Cost
1993 Honda Civic CX $1500
GSR fat fives with NICE tires $275
Tokico HP/Jackson Racing Springs $240
Body Work $Free (trades)
Random eBay Strut bars $70

I did all of the work on this car, except the painting, and all prices above include shipping where applicable. The next step, in keeping with the "frugal empire" theme, is to purchase a B16 and get rid of my not-so-wild 70 horses currently wheezing my car around.

Now, onward with the pics!

Ahh, sweet stock crappiness (notice the custom quarter panel!)

Looks better, but we're not going offroad anytime soon:

Here we are as of today:

Comments are always welcome, as are suggestions. I want to keep it mostly cheap and funtional, so no body kits or bling bling rims. I want new headlights (for more output) and I'm thinking of painting the fat fives gunmetal.

Thanks for looking.

Look good, save up for fully built GSR motor and invest a good car alarm.

Nice that is kind of what I want to do, but I want to build my EK up using as many stock honda parts as I can, we will see how it goes once the WRX is gone.

Exactly.

Thanks for the comments, guys. So nobody agrees with the gunmetal fat fives? Also, should I bother with the clear/red tails?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to paint the fat fives gunmetal. That, and a B16 are next (hopefully some coilovers too, since my car could go down another inch easy).
