Default 00-1457 up for sale

I love my car but I think that it is just time to move on. I am looking into getting a 350Z Track Edition, but we will see. Here is a link to my for sale thread.

Have you had it on track, like LRP or Summit ?

Have to take those parts off and sell them sperately to get near what you want.

People do understand that the car is done quite nicely, but 25K for an ITR at this point in time is gonna be a tough sale. Not hating, I understand you spent a grip on some very nice parts, hope the sale goes well.

I am asking twice so that you can have knowledge to compare other cars in the future. Not trying to be a HPDE ***** or whatever...

Justin,

You must track the ITR. You'll get a different understanding of the car. I daily drive my S2K (trust me, it is tons and tons of fun), however, I still miss the R. (Especially since it is sitting unused in storage... )

I think he should hold off on the sale and come up with us to Watkins Glen. Track it, join us for BBQ & party then come back and do whatever he wants to.

The Track Z is a very attractive choice. But every time I take the R out I just can't get past how friggen affordable it is in comparison to all the current choices and their 18" bling this and bling that.

But I bet you feel lucky that you still have it for whenever you dust it off like Matt just did and take it out to play.

I just can't see ever selling mine.

I track mine and love it. I hate it @ home in the street and I hate it.

If it wasn't for 9k rpm wind downs and trail braking I would have sold it too.

BWADADADAAAAA!! 4 life y0!

No I have not had it on the track and that is one thing that I have really wanted to do. I have tracked my fathers PORSCHE and know how to take a line, boy and when I do in my ITR on the street and just hit that sweet corner, I can only imagine how it must feel on the track.
These past few months I have really just gotten it back in runnning order. My sale of the car is not 100% yet. I was kind of seeing what kind of response I got from the sale.
Without seeing the car the dealer told me that they would give me $12.5K for it, but he would need to see to be able to give me anything more, and would prefer it stock. I am not going to give the car away BUT if the trade in ends up being the way to go, I am going to want to get the car back to stock fast as possible. SO some good parts will be up for sale real quick.

I suggest you spend a few $$$ and get on track ONCE before you sell that heap.

I agree with Rob as usual. Better to put your money into tightening the loose nut behind the wheel than modifying the car.

Oh, and don't get a Z. Get a C5 Z06. Or even just a C5 vette. They can be had with 35k miles for ~$20k. That's a HELL of a lot of car for $20k. Especially if you know how to drive it.

Strange thing about the Z, I have read mixed reviews about the car, however, I haven't driven one. I would probably get a G35 (better reviews, nicer all around) before getting a Z. Especially since you really don't seem to be the track type person, a G35 might be better than a Z. (I am making that conclusion off of the number of times your R has seen the track, this is just an assumption.)

However, it is a good choice, because after driving RWD, I will probably never buy another FWD car (for myself) ever again. Therefore besides BMW, only choices really are G35, Z, RX-8, S2K, Miata, C5/C6 Vette etc.

I was in a 350Z once at summit point and the driver was VERY GOOD and he had some suspension, intake and R-comps and that car hauled *** aorund the track rather well for such a heavy feeling car.

I found a new respect for the 350Z, but I'd still rather have a R for track duty

My lone time driving a Z left me kind of cold on the power plant. Felt like it died up top. G35C felt the same (same powerplant of course). For contrast I _loved_ the motor in the new TL.

I agree -- depending on the length and setup of the track. The two complement each other in a way. ...but I'd take a Vette over a Z any day and twice on Sundays for track duty.
