polishing inside casing of HIDs?
on the JDM front end I got , I noticed at night the passenger side HID light seems to have a blurred / distorted pattern when the light hits the road. The same kind of effect you would get when you use a flashlight and the plastic casing the light has to travel through is dirty or scratched. I took a look at the light and I can see a pattern of distortion but it's on the inside of the casing and not the outside. I don't know how that happened, water condensation maybe? something caused the plastic to change on the inside.
Is it possible to repair such damage? I took it to a shop where I get a lot of work on my car done and I understand that opening the headlights, which would need to be resealed afterwards can cause just a whole lot more headaches later on to fix a little light distortion. Anyone here ever experienced something like that? or know if its worth it to risk or should I just deal with it. I'll try to take a pic later on and post it on here if anyone wants to see what i'm talking about exactly.
Thanks
Nick

No I understand that's what would need to be used, but my concern is opening the headlight casing and having to polish the inside then resealing it, might cause problems down the road, not to mention maybe itll make the casing look even worst afterwards

plastic polish = no worse off.
you can slowly pry open the casing with a hairdrier, or the oven technique - then seal it again with clear silicone/gasket maker/epoxy
