Default Emission Failed

So I just got back from a shop that tested my car.. they were real ******** just like at any other automotive shop. Guy gives me the paper says you failed, I'm like well do you know why? What would cause this ect? He goes im not a mechanic I just test the cars. Fine, understandable. So I leave. Now The car has to be repaired in 30 days.

it's a crx with a b18a1.. I still have my charcoal can I dun have the fpr solenoid or purge solenoid. I don't know how to hook up the wiring for them. My iacv is shot, i need to fine a good working obd0 iacv. I'm using the stock civic exh, stock ls header/dp (cut pipe and rotated flange to fit)

I don't want to spend $ on a bunch of crap just to fail again. And I really don't trust mechanics either, I've nothing but problems with mechanics.

I dunno what the HC (PPM) level is, I dunno what the CO (%) is but that is there i failed.

The CO% limit is 1.07 and I got 7.90 everything else checked out fine. Could it be that its still listed on the sheet with a 1.5? Would the tolenerance be different? I dunno, I don't know anything about emissions or the chemicals associated lol.

High Co means its running rich... the FPR sol could be causing this issue, how did the HC levels look?

Your car is running too rich, I forget when that fpr sol comes on, but I'll check into it, could be the source of your problem. Do they not say anything about it not being hooked up?

Im in CT and i am in your world also, Emissions Shut down inCT for a year because of Foul Play, the fine is out of this world for cheating now and there are closed circuit cameras in most of the emissions places going straight to the Emissions Headquarters. You can still cheat it but its not easy anymore. I passed with a b16 ina DA, And didn't pass in my Eclipse 1990 GSX AWD test pipe 2.5 turbo back exhaust. The guy laughed at me when he hooked the sniffer up. Good luck the richness is your problem get it to run in limp mode maybe is it obdo? or Obd1

I tried something different this year to get my b16 to pass.

I planned to get a stock p30 and lower my fuel pressure and get tested, but i was too lazy to go pick up the ecu. Went to the smog station with a chipped p28. Around the corner i dropped my fuel pressure from 44 to 30 psi. Went to the smog station and passed 1st attempt. All emissions parts were removed from the firewall.

If you have an adjustable fpr this might work for you.
