Default Money to spend

Ok guys I have about $400 to spend and I don't know what to buy. I just got a fresh paint job and my head is cracked. What should I buy? Anyone have any good deals on anything for a rex?

Alright after that, even if I can, what do I buy? Will any other head work on my block and what?

Since you have a DX in your signature you can use any D-Series head 88-00 (SOHC of course), but some require wiring changes for MPFI or VTEC while others are straight up bolt-on and forget.

What are the names of all the heads I could use (vtec and non-vtec) and what cars can I get them off of and is there a store online I can buy them from?

If I do go vtec, do I need to get the ecu from the car that the head is from or would it be better to keep my stock one?

Also, which one (vtec head) would be the easiest and do they all bolt right on?

EDIT* you have $400 and a cracked head.... what do you think you should spend the money on

research in the archive about swaps....

this really has been covered OVER and OVER again...

searching can get you all the answers you need to know everything about the head swap your looking to do.

I'll sell you a PERFECT D16A6 head for $400. Even a bucket or two of MPFI stuff.
