LS swap - dpfi to mpfi wiring/distributor problems
*i posted this as well in the hybrid forum, but figured i might have better luck in tech*
i have been searching for a while and haven't found any answers... here's my problem... bare with me...
car is a '91 civic that i just swapped in a b18a1... i followed all the directions for swapping from dpfi to mpfi found here: http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/4gdxtozc.html which is the same directions i found on other links.
the LS distributor has a 7-wire plug and the dx-harness had a 5-wire... i know the extra two blue/green and blue/yellow wires are for the CPS, that is wired up. I used a 7-pin clip from another harness and plugged in the colors to match the best I could... I couldn't really tell if the colors were faded or what. does anyone have the exact diagram of which colors match up with what?
there were two white wires that i just guessed on... well i went to try to start the car tonight... turned the key to the ON position and the ECU light was solid and the distributor was making a clicking noise.
could this be because of the white wires being switched... or do I have some of the others mixed up... or do you think it's a wiring problem at all?
thanks for ANY help!

there shouldnt be any clicking noises with those wires switched either way...usually if you plugged all the wires in the right location, then go to start it..and doesnt turn over because of no spark.....the white wires need to be switched around...the clicking noises must be caused by wires being in the wrong place or a bad dist maybe dunno...have you checked for any DTC's?

well... first off the battery was gone... i had it hooked up to a charger and thought it would still work, but nope. then i had the white wires the right way the first time, so i had to swap those back...
