Default ???'s on zc D16 motor. please help.

what up. i have an 89 crx si. it had the stock D16A motor in it. it felt alright i guess. at the present time, my car is getting a ZC D16 SOHC non vtec motor dropped into it. iv'e also got dc headers, intake and exhaust.i haven't gotten my car back yet, but i kinda want to know what to expect. what cars will i be able to beat and keep up with? i also wanted to know what the compression ratio, horsepower, and torque was on that motor. i couldn't go DOHC, so did i make a good choice on choosing that motor? ****...i hope i did. thanks to anyone who can answer any of my questions.

well the sohc zc non-vtec is just like the d16a6, its practically the same motor. its a good strong and reliable motor. if u want some power put of it, you should just turbo it. i had a turbo zc in my crx and it was pretty fast for a motor with internal work.

Your typical civic ex vtec will be cake, and you will probably take LS tegs with good driving.

lol a d16a6/zc non vtec can barely hang with LS integs both w/ bolt ons. A d16z6 in a crx chassis would pull a little bit farther then the d16a6/zc non vtec.

the only difference between your old setup and your new setup will be a slightly bigger cam and only in the intake. the rest of the SOHC ZC engine is completely identical to the D16A6.

whether youll be able to keep up with whatever car.... who knows.
