well i finally got around to getting some parts together and starting my project on my 93 F2...I had the black honda wings and took them off before i started the conversion and i really like how it looks...but the thing is, i'm not sure how it would look all blue...i was thinking about painting the tail black or silver...any opinions..

p.s. i still have to order the rear seat...a lil pricey though

is that a tail from a 01 f4i? nice bike. i had a 92 F2 for my first bike. but i had the 96 F3 fairings on mine.

 

yeah the tail is off of an f4i...its actually a replica piece from ebay that i got for 135 shipped...i was just looking for opinions on what to color to paint the tail...as much as i would like to paint it blue to match, i think it would look too plain...?

Is there anyway you could send me the guys name that you got it off Ebay from or something because I desperately want one of those... Also where did you get your rear tire hugger from? I found one on Ebay a few weeks back and it was just one from a person, so i cant find a company anywhere who makes them for the F2. Thanks alot man

 

in order to make the tail fit you have to cut off most of the mounts off of the stock subframe then weld on new ones...its really not that hard at all...i worked from the front seat back and you just have to to a lot of test fitting...you also have to cut off part of the gas tank to get the seat to sit properlly...i'm sure i'm going to have to redo some stuff once i get the rear seat, but for now, i'll just make a seat cowl or something

also, a lot of people told me that the f4i seat was pretty uncomfy, but it really feels more comfy than the bananna seat

oh and the name of the ebayer that i got the tail from was 231973bikes...pretty fast shipping and the tail is solid
